COLOR-CODED PLASTIC AND ALUMINUM SHIMS
Available, standard and custom in 18 thicknesses from .0005" to .060", each with its own color, and in any required shape. Inexpensive, steel rule dies can be made in 2 to 3 days reducing lead time on initial orders for new shim designs. No set-up charges on subsequent orders.
Plastic Shims: Long wearing, flexible, non-hygroscopic, and impervious to oil,

Aluminum Shims: Best to use under operating temperatures in excess of 200
degrees Fahrenheit. Artus aluminum shims are non-compressible, burr-free, rust
proof and durable. Custom dies can be made to cut shims up to 24" diameter in a single piece. Larger OD shims require segmented dies.
COLD ROLLED AND STAINLESS STEEL SHIMS
Extreme conditions and applications call for Artus superior stainless or cold rolled steel shims. New and expanded facilities, including laser technology, bring you a choice of stainless and cold rolled steel shims of the highest quality standard steel or sophisticated alloys. These shims are availble in any thickness and quantity required.
BRASS SHIMS
Brass, the heavy duty material for heavy duty needs. Artus brass shims are made to satisfy the most exacting tolerances and specifications. Stamped from the finest quality, precision guage stock, these shims provide uniform thickness. Because they are burr-free and highly resistant to corrosion, they are a perfect choice for marine applications.
GASKETS
Artus makes gaskets for every possible use, in any size and shape, and in whatever quantity desired, large or small. Artus gaskets are available in a variety of materials, including vegetable fiber, cork composition, and asbestos-substitute. Our use of inexpensive steel rule dies and large quantity purchases of raw materials hold costs to a minimum.
